Is it true that a daddy long legs only lives a day, or at most, two days?
Answers:
No. You've been seeing too much of Ricky Gervais
I've hear that..
Also dragonflies only live 24 hours.
But yeah, follow the daddy-long-legs and I'm sure the following day (assuming it never moved far) it's dead. Unless you killed it first.
Thats what i heard!! x
3 days actually but thats if you dont kill them first or a spider eats them. by the way boring true fact. Daddy long legs have one of the most poisones venoms in the world its just then have no way of hurting anything or anyone with it because of no teeth, stinger etc.boring but interesting fact! x
No, they hang around for months if there's a food supply, like other insects.
I think they live longer, I'm not sure how long but I had a daddy long leg that lived with my Moths for a while. I just let him stay, he wasn't hurting anything he was there after a week but sometime after that left..I didn't find a dead daddy long leg.
That is because "mama long legs" consumes him after they mate!
they only live about 15 seconds when my cat see's them :)
u might find an proper answer here though
It's true in my house ~ my dog eats them!
you wouldnt live long if you had someone rip off your arms and legs now would you? :)
The adult "Daddy Long Legs" (or Crane Fly to be more accurate) lives only 24 hours. The larvae emerge from the ground and in the following 24 hours, they have to mate and lay more eggs so the species can survive.

Don't know, as I swat them as soon as they come into the house.
Probaly because people dont like when they crawl up u because of all the legs..plus they have a small body and probaly doesnt have a brain or cant see...
yep its true
they cant eat or bite as they dont have a mouth there only purpose is to mate then they die
They live as long as they have a food supply or unless you step on it!!
