Yahoo answers - just a way of getting homework done for free??
And in the long run will produce alot of people with not alot of knowledge of what they should know..If understanding of information could be guaranteed then I wouldnt have a problem with this.I know that when exams come they wont know it and thats not right
Maybe its just the internet itself - information is at your fingertips..
Answers:
hey, tho i do like your name, it doesn't matter who does the homework if you have to write it down again then you generally remember it and equations n stuff then you gorra ken how you got 2 t answer so what does it matter t homework is getting done so up Ur's!!! yahoo answers wont pass exams so the homework wont really do its job but hey its done and right, which is wot really counts as far as teacher concerned..
AND..
no, its also for spamming and whining about your social inabilities
but its not against the rules, theres a whole homework category
its not yahoo answer
its internet like you said
but you cant blame them
sometimes we all get lazy
sometimes we really need a push in the right direction
gotta love this
You're right - but let's face it, if we'd had the chance we'd do exactly the same thing. I wonder if the kids are aware that they won't get internet access during the exams?!
well, i use yahoo answers if i really can't figure something out. otherwise i do it myself cuz i care about my grades. i assume most people are the same, and if they're not. well it'll hurt them eventually
when you do homework, you should always try it yourself first. If you use something like Yahoo! answers then you should cit your source. If you understand tyhe response someone gives you, you will learn form it. But if not, you will prbably fail you test. :)
Yahoo Answers is no better than a search engine when it comes to finding answers for your homework. It's funny because there are some really stupid questions posted here that otherwise would have taken them 5 second to search up. This will lead to a decline of intelligence, but they will suffer when the finals come. So even without Yahoo Answers, they could still search it, thus still having a decline, as long as they don't read anything and take the easy way the will not learn a thing.
that would be up to the person, and if they could live with the fact they asked for help
it is a cop out, but u can't get reliable information just from here alone
the student needs to check out and verify the info given, and visit any URLs that are provided.
if he or she doesnt do this, then the student will risk getting a bad grade from unconfirmed information.
so in that way, the student is still doing some work and putting in effort!
What ever
Ive done it
Well, asking homework questions in Yahoo Answers is okay, as long as the answers help show the asker how to come up with the answer so that they may learn.
Afterall, isn't that what parents are supposed to do -- be there to help their kids figure out how to do the homework?
If you just give the answer, what does that do to help the asker figure out the answer on his/her own the next time?
Hey, at least they're doing something to try to get the answers, right? I mean, it could be worse - they could just not do the homework at all, I suppose.
I won't say its getting homework done for free. Yes, I can post my homework up here and get it done by others, but I won't CHOOSE to do that, because even if I happen to do that, I will still have to decide on a best answer and hence read several answers going through what is happening in them and in turn/theory, learn about what i'm supposed to learn in the homework. afterall, it's all about the what that person who posted their homework up here chose to do, its all part of a steep/gentle learning curve, depends on how u look at it.
Asking other people is the second oldest way of learning, watching is the oldest. We have learned for some five million years by asking only,i don`t think its gone obsolete just because some guy who was too lazy to talk invented books to make a huge profit in the side. This ain`t all bad, methinks.
I don't use it for my homework, I can do that for myself, I'm not stupid, and I definitely don't need other people getting the answers wrong.
asking questions on yahoo just saves time as children are bound to be searching for the answers anyway on the internet. why not just get a few other people to help along the way. i think it would be wrong to just copy other people's answers word for word and not credit it to them.
i use it for homework for RE so it can help me get a range of different points of views on certain topics, so that i am not completely bias and so i know the whole story of something. yet when i quote people i mention where i get my answers from.
It's a form of research.
What's wrong with that?
Besides, it's the individual's fault if they don't learn from homework and apply that knowledge to exams.
I don't think it's for you to worry about really.
