Any points u can think of such as target audience, presenters, appearence etc.
Answers:
Totally different network for starters
ITV is based in the north of England and channel 4 network is based in London about 300 meters from the New Scotland yard those are 2 big differences.
second ITV 1 caters to the older audience because it has been around since the 50's it was the UK's second network after the BBC with shows like Coronation street which have been running for about 40 years.
So the news tends to be more focused toward and older crowd say 40+
Channel 4 was brought on fairly recently the UK's 3 rd network and in the beginning tended to be edgy and a bit rogue but they have fallen to commercial dumbing down, this is reflected by the other programming like Big Brother and other mindless tat.
so with that the news appeals to a younger simpler crowd stories seem to be more fluff then substance.
Channel 5 produces better news but still for more accurate reporting for your region BBC regional news
ITV tends to dull things down a little I guess to not stun the older audience Channel four tries to act serious but the reporting is a bit shallow like much of the other programming.
Depending on who is running the BBC they can either be way left liberal and very Biased or fair and honest
For the best consistency I still have to go with 5
Americans reading this won't have a clue what we are on about.
Now this is a truly unbiased opinion since Channel 4 has been very good to me I presented a couple shows for them.
I was treated very well at my few times at 4 so the folks there are nice but the program directors are naff the studio people and production staff are top shelf.
but the news tends to be more tabloid then anything else.
I really don't care what Victoria beckahm did this week, but I am concerned with further council tax rises.
Same s-h-i-t, different channel!!
Three clicks. You do realize, don't you, that chennel 4 and ltv(?)1 where I live might be on completely different stations? Maybe I don't even get those stations?
CH4 news is 10more intellectual and indepth catering for clever people The presenters confront their people with credible data sources Most people who watch CH4 are 25 upwards, middle class mostly, more ethnic minorities, CH4 covers credible art culture and music. The presenters are from a range of backgrounds. Their reports and scenes tend to be more offensive and sometimes you cant eat your dinner and watch it
ITV..comeon.they report stupid **** like someones dog saved a rabbit next door. Its easy listening not too hurtful to the ears or eyes..its housewives news. Some handsome ill be good to you man/woman reads the news, their news is brief and basic
channel 4 news is **** and itv is not, that's the difference!

How do you know if people would be interested in reading an unknowns life story?
