Does anyone Know if when you do an apprenticeship if you have to do exams?

I'm considering doing an apprenticeship in Travel and Tourism level 3 (A-Level equivalent) and just wondered if anyone knows if you have to take exams on this course or if the course is coureswork based?

Answers:
Yes, in Travel and Tourism you have a mix of coursework and exams. Since you mention "A" levels, one assumes you live in Britain. If your course is NVQ-based, you will provide evidence of competencies from your place of work. If it is a full-time college course, it is GNVQ-based and will involve a lot of simulated (pretend) competences which are basically coursework, but if you want to take a degree and make something of your career, you will take exams. Explore the websites below. They are really good courses.
I think so, you have to take exams to get any kind of qualification. I took an electrical installation apprenticeship, and I had to sit 4 exams, 2 practical and 2 written. There were also unit test that I had to take.
