Which came first the word for the colour 'orange' or the word for the fruit..?

Answers:
As the fruit, via Arabic naranj came from India, the original word was Hindi :nārangī : later, "a norange" became "an orange". The colour was named after the fruit.
the color
I would say the colour orange came first, as the orange was orange before the orange was found if that makes sense!
i think the fruit came first and it inspired them to create a colour from it
