Answers:
In the Uk you do exams at 16 called GCSE's (general cerificate secondary education) then you study for 2 years at college (16-18 usually) here you do AS levels in your first year and if you study into the second year these become A levels (Advanced levels). Then you have the option of going to university (american college)

ps taz is wrong (o levels are the old name for GCSE's - changed 15 yrs ago or so). AS levels have nothing to do with Scotland - theyre half an A level

hope this helps
what is that?
A-level is Advanced level (after O-level - Ordinary level).

AS level is the Scottish equivalent.
it doesn't hurt to ask some one from your school what it is you got me pal good luck
AS and A levels are exams that you take after doing your GCSEs and its one of the qualification that can get you to university.

After completing your GCSEs you choose upto four subjects to study for a year and then you take exams.if you pas syoure exams you go onto do A-levels in three of the subjects for another year.

Doing these exams gives you points to go on to university!
A-level -advanced level u sit it in the same year
As-advanced Subsidary-Sit the first part of the syllabus in one year and the 2nd part of the syllabus in the 2nd year. They join the two marks at the end of the 2 years and coem with one mark which is the a-level mark

That how they did it when i was going to college.
