When you read do you read every word or just picture the sentences and see key words.?
Answers:
Most people will just pick out key words.
the latter
It depends on what I'm reading. Some text needs more careful reading than others.
Mostly the latter, unless the sense of the sentence jars as not quite right, in which case each word is read.
i read every word
I think that I usually read all of the words.
Yep, most of the time people DONT BOTHER reading all of it, they SCAN things QUICKLY to save time - we are lazy LOL!
I read the key words as I was taught to speed read when I was a student ( a few yrs ago now lol ) It does mean you can read quicker and you dont actually miss anything !
Trehe is a teohry taht it deosn't matetr waht oredr the lettres in a wrod are as lnog as the fisrt and lsat leettrs are in the cerroct pacle -the bairn wlil ucnrbmasle tehm.

(There is a theory that it doesn't matter what order the letters in a word are as long as the first.etc.)
It is likely, therefore, that in reading a sentence, the brain is skimming the important words, and not the whole sentence. Patterns soon begin to emerge that the brain will focus in on to make sense of what is written.
i cant get into other peoples minds but i read about three quarters of the words and infer about the rest
Acrcndiog to resecarh at Cimdrgabe Unierivsty, it deson't meattr what oderr the lertets in a word are, the only ionramptt thnig is that the frist and last lttrees are at the right palce.
The rset can be a toatl mess and you can sitll raed it wutihot a pboelrm. This is becsuae we do not raed every letetr by itself but the wrod as a whloe.
Probably just the key words. It's why our brains can make sense of sentences with major spelling errors if the first and last letters of each word are correct.
Jsut tihnk aubot it for a muinte, gvie it a wirhl, yuo'll alomst not beileve yuor eeys.
What a graet question! I do both. If it's a crucial part of the story, I read every word. If it's a filler, I scan and imagine the scene.
Who Cares?
i read the key words, if i don't understand the sentence then i go over it and read all the words
