Could people help me with part of a survey please? (Violence in Video Games)?
* Are violent video games responsible for potentially giving the people who play them murderous and violent tendancies?*
in other words, if you play a game, are you more likely to kill someone because it has influenced you
thanks.
Answers:
No; this is just an excuse parents and many other adults make in order to place the blame for their children's actions on some scapegoat, rather than looking inward and realizing that they (the parents) are actually the ones to blame.
If you raise your kids right, no amount of violent video games will ever make them "go bad" despite what people think. I'm 18.
No. When I was in high school, I was very unpopular and got teased all the time. I vented my frustration through violent video games. If anything they PREVENTEd me from hurting people in real life. Im 20 now BTW.

No, 26 M.
No I don't think they do. It depends on cognitive influence from life not fiction; unless of course you are never taught to differentiate between the two (42)

Potentially, I believe that playing violent video games can lead to people developing murderous and violent tendencies, but I also believe that they must already be 'lacking' with their mental faculties. I certainly don't believe that simply playing violent video games causes someone to develop murderous and violent tendencies. (I'm 48 by the way.)
Video games don`t make people go out and kill any more than Elvis corrupted young girls in the 50`s. The powers that be have been trying to control popular form of entertainment , on the grounds that it corrupts, for century's.
i`m 33
personally i am not easily influenced by games nor would i blame destructive behaviour on it. some other people thogh can be easily led by what they see and hear, i guess it just depends on the person and their state of mind.
im 15
