Polish vodka - can anyone recommend a really good quality brand?

I'm going there at the weekend and have been asked to get someone a special bottle as a present. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Answers:
Monopolova. It is delicious Polish potato vodka.
Stoli, Belvedere..Grey Goose..just ask someone at the liquor store to assist you.they will be more then happy to oblige..cheers
if you go to a local liquor store they will advise you. When i went i was lucky enough to get a taste of most of them lol!
Polish Bitter Stomach Vodka.
Petunia, Stoli is Russian. Belvedere is the most common Polish Vodka but you can get that anywhere. Like everyone else says ask in a shop there more likely to sell you a good one rather than a trendy or a companies that is good at marketing
Wybarowa
Zubrowka.

Careful though. In my experience, Polish is far more potent than Russian vodka.
no- but swedish vodka is great its called absolut vodka, and it comes in loads of different flavours :) you can find it in most airport shops, since your flying.
I would have to say Belvedre- Dry, but not too much. It is personally my favorite Vodka. Good Luck!
grey goose is good stuff.
Zubrovka, all day long, one of the best of the polish vodkas, but make sure you keep it in the freezer!
Have a look for the bison weed version, has grass in it (not the illegal kind)
Chopin and Belvedere are among the best Polish vodkas.

Zubrowka is not really a vodka, but it's definitely got a punch. It's infused with Polish Bison Grass.

Grey Goose is good, but it's not Polish, nor is Stoli (which isn't all that good in comparison, anyway). Absolut is OK, but also doesn't compare.
Luksosowa.it is a great potato vodka that is smoother and cheaper than Chopin
Wyborowa is pretty good too. It's been bought out now by Pernod but it's one of the oldest true Polish Vodkas - and comes in nice bottles. If you're based in London or Manchester or any reasonably sized town (judging by their website) you could always try and find a Revolution Bar to try out their Polish vodkas to decide which one you think they might like best.

Zubrowka with the bison grass in the bottle. You can drink it neat and it tastes distinctly of ice cream soda!!
