Which is a good place to eat on the south bank in london/?
Answers:
Gabriel's Wharf has a good selection of places to eat. There's also Borough Market, where you can taste everything from bread, olives and cheese to roasted meats and fast-fried scallops. There are also lots of pubs as you walk along - are you talking from about Hungerford Bridge (crossing from Charing Cross) eastwards? It's a lovely area, and you can't go wrong wherever you try!
The Oxo Tower restaurant has good views over the Thames and a great cocktail bar. It's not cheap though. I can't remember what the food's like cos I was a bit drunk at the time.
The George [13], 75-77 Borough High Street, 7407 2056, open Mo-Sa 11am-11pm Su 12pm-10.30pm
There are loads-if you like Mexican, try Las Iguanas which just opened at the Royal Festival Hall;the food is amazing.
Avoid 'Souvlaki' at all costs. Ordered a 'seasonal vegetable' souvlaki the other week and when it came it was basically a hot mushy pea and broad bean sandwich! Vile-still getting flashbacks.
The Ivy. A little pricy, but great food great service
Melvyn Bragg's place, if you can stand all the hot air
When the tide is out, lol :-)

There's supposed to be a nice sushi restaurant down that way, also some good tapas places.
Try the Cubana Bar near Waterloo too - very good cocktails!
Indian Restaurant
