What do you call foods you eat with a knife and fork? Is there a special name?

The restaurant where i used to worked called chili burgers, "forknknife" burgers.
You don't have to eat anything with a knife and fork. It's all finger food. Just make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand.

There is no specific name. It has to do with the meal and setting. There's continental breakfast, lunch, business lunch, dinner, formal dinner, supper, etc.
The opposite of finger food would be a meal (seriously). A plated meal is also correct.

If its just a fork, funnily enough it is call a fork buffet. Technically cutlery is just knives: forks and spoons are called flatware. Finger food and fork food can be eaten standing up, as at a party but eating with a knife and fork means you have to sit down or at least put you plate on a surface. I don't think there is a special name for eating with a knife and fork except for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it depends on what you want for. Maybe sit-down snack or any of the above
