Is there enough baby food brands on the market?
And if no, what could be done to improve baby foods?? Is more variety needed?

i think you might be onto something. i think gerber has pretty much got the market cornered, no? and they drive me crazy anyway. there's del monte but that's pretty much it. i don't know what to suggest. another company. but who could compete?
No there is room for one more. one with good wholesome food simply prepared and processed and preserved in a way that when it is served it hasn't suffered from the preservation and is stil fresh, tastey, wholesome food. Basically I'm asking for somebody to do what my wife does at home but give her a little extra time so she doesn't have to cook it and puree it.

someone needs to find a way of makign fresh foods that are safe for babies to eat. You can make them at home yourself, I guess the problem is that they need to be scrupulously clean for babies, so if you're making them in a factory you have to blast them with heat and processing to kill any bacteria in them. Which is why it doesn't matter on the brand, they're all gloopy gunge.
I do know that when I've fed my kids homemade food vs bought stuff in jars, what comes out the other end tells you all you need to know. I think there's a place for instead kiddy/babyfood, i just think you need to minimise how often you give it to you kids.
No i am developing a new brand its full of natural organic material and its 90% toxic free, so your baby would have to eat a whole pack of ten before it would become ill.
