vno and thin kaboutit are very much accurate. however, it is a good idea to either take notes each time you drink from it, or at least keep in mind as each day passes what and or if there are any differences. All things being imperfect as they are, your first box will give you the best answer about its timeline for future reference. And surprisingly some good wines end up in boxes. Just not the "premier" snob wine that most people wouldnt, pick in a blind taste test anyway. Enjoy!!
You'd best drink it up quick. Here, I'll help you *proffers glass*
Where were they kept before opened?
(Are they opened now?)
I heard that temperature was important.
It's a Shiraz and will keep for months - years even! Don't panic, you will have finished the box before it goes off!
When I drank wine,-I would expect a box like that to last for about 2 hours.-At that time I was a raving alcoholic.

A normal person should be able to drink it up to about 2 weeks after opening
Boxed wine will keep longer than bottled wines since it is not exposed to air as readily. However, it will change.

It depends on your taste, but I would not keep a boxed wine that has been opened for longer than a couple of days. You might find it lasts longer to your taste. But boxed wines are meant to be drank as part of parties and large gatherings. I would not open it for a glass of wine with dinner.
As long as air does not get into the bag inside of the box, it will last for many months.
There is a difference between 'keep for' meaning 'stay safe to drink' and 'keep for' meaning 'stay in best condition'.
This is one of the better Italian shirazes, so it isn't an eminent wine (they rarely come in boxes) but it is pretty good drinking.
Once you've opened the box assuming you keep it out of the sunlight and away from heat I'd say you can probably rely on about nine days for the wine to keep its full aroma and flavour (it might even improve a little for the first day or two). After that I would expect to see the bouquet start to lose a little of its sparkle (the hint of fresh leather goes first) and the wine become steadily blander for a few weeks more. The stuff might be safe to drink for several months after opening (I wouldn't trust it past eight weeks) but the first week-and-a-half is when it's going to be at its best. Since its best is not bad at all drink it while its drinkable.
"Insincere" has the best answer here. I would add that I have kept an open boxed wine in the fridge for up to 3 weeks and it was fine.
If the box is the type I am thinking of, then all of these people are wrong. Boxed wines, meaning bag-in-a-box, are technically never open. As you depress the dispenser valve, atmospheric pressure from the outside of the bag causes the wine to flow. It is not from air entering the box and displacing the liquid volume as it would be in a rigid container like a bottle. So as the wine is dispensed, the bag collapses in on itself, it does not remain inflated with air from the outside.

So on that reasoning, the wine should "keep" as long as it would in any other, unopened container.

Despite the reputation of cheap wines going to bag-in-a-box containers, it's really the perfect vessel to package wine and disperse one glass at a time.

Hope this helped.
boxed wine.sounds horrible
Yno is absolutely right, if it's the typical "wine in a box" it's actually in a self-collapsing bag that keeps the air out, and in all liklihood the longer you keep it the better it will taste (up to a point!). While they don't usually put their "best wines" in a box (LOL), the average taste of the wine-drinking public has improved so much over the last 25 years that your average "wine in a box" is perfectly fine!

Don't listen to what anyone that "sounds like they know wine" says, listen to yourself, drink what you like, and enjoy it!

Salut!
It will last a while.
