Why do people like/love beer?
Especially in a hot day..
I love it too.But I can t drink..Because I have problems with heart.

beer is among humanity's oldest foods: fermenting partially sprouted grain (malt) gives one a fuid which is safe to drink (beer is naturally sterile - this is not always true of water in pre-industrial societies) as well as an easy source of calories, mineral and vitamins.
(in early societies most people found it difficult to eat enough calories to live healthily. it is only with the rise of industrial societies that obesity has become a serious problem).
up until last month there used to be a poster on the sparknotes site called t_beermonster who even had a theory that brewing was the original cause why people stopped hunting / gathering and settled down to live in cities. if you go to the site and search for his posts you will probably find this strange and fascinating theory there.
unfortunately he seems not to be using the barnes and noble site any more. perhaps one day he will turn up on yahoo! answers.

Beer is one of the aquired tastes. There is nothing more energizing on a not day after working hard. The buzz is not bad either.
I like my drinks not too sweet, abd dislike spirits. I have an occasional beer (maybe a bottle a fortnight). I don't believe you can mention product names here (maybe you can, I am not sure). All I will say is that my favourite brewer is located in Chiswick and does a range of beers at a variety of strenghts. The lighter beers are ideal for this hot weather. Only a fool would drink the stronger ones in this heat. (Dehydration from alcohol + dehydration from heat = 1 sick puppy).
In this weather I prefer fruit juices. Pink Grapefruit is bitter, same as beer, but has a more refreshing taste. I went tee-tptal for a year a long time ago and discovered Citrus based drinks are at least as good as beer for taste and satisfaction, and they are healthier for you too.
I am Scottish and we tend to think beer is for namby pamby Englishers. We prefer our own stronger brews. I defy anybody to say beer is tastier than a good dram. Have one and it may do your heart a lot of good believe me even doctors acknowledge this fact. It thins the blood, makes you merry and your heart will rejoice. Buy whisky lots of soda or fizz of some kind and ice and you will be in heaven. Slanthe
