In Scotland, although you can buy Haggis in London
in speciality stores. If you do find Haggis, wherever
place you may be, I suggest you you get instructions
on how to prepare since it is boiled with one end
untied and with the gut out of the pan so as to let
the steam out. If you do not follow instructions, the
expansion of the contents within could rupture the
the "belly" and will end up in a mushy porridge not
at all attractive nor edible.
Scotland
I don;t no where you from but HAGGIS IS A national DISH FOR Scotland and If your from the state USDA department of agriculture has declare that unfit for human. And i think was back on in 2003.

Either in the kitchen or in the dining room, or on a tray in front of the tv. They make a veggie version now, I've heard. Before I went veggie, I used to break it out of the wrapper and cook it like minced beef, and then eat it with mashed potato and tomato ketchup. Of course, that was before I Saw The Light . . . . !

Scottish restaurants.
Anywhere in Scotland.
The safest and best place to eat haggis is at my at my house in England because 99 per cent of Scottish people and all other people don't know how to make it properly.

Let me explain

Haggis is made out of the heart, liver and lungs of a sheep which is boiled, minced, mixed with salt, pepper, stock or gravy, oats and whiskey and boiled in the sheep's stomach.

It is the boiling of the offal that is significant.

I obtain a sheep's heart liver and lungs that is still attached to the windpipe. It is placed in a large saucepan of water with the windpipe hanging out of the saucepan and the end of it in or above a second saucepan. As it boils the sheep's snot is exuded from the windpipe into the second saucepan so that it can be discarded. You can get up to half a pint of snot from one set of sheep's lungs.

Most other haggis makers including Scottish ones just leave the snot in.

I estimate that the average portion of haggis contains about one third of a cupful of sheep's snot.

Bon appetite
