Once I've frozen a yogurt does this extend it's 'use by' date & if so by how long?

I like to freeze Weight Watchers fromage frais yogurts although it doesn't advocate doing so on the packet. I'd like to know if by freezing them I could then eat them safely past their 'use by' dates (which are obviously given to indicate when they should be used by when kept in a fridge) and if so, how far past their 'use by' date would they remain safe to eat?

Answers:
Depending on how long was left before the expirey date when you put the yoghurt in the freezer. if it had 2 days left when you froze it it will hav 2 days left when you defrost it. although i believe you should not freeze things for longer than 6 months.
yes it extends the date as long as there are no freezer burn
you can freez it but only for 3-4 weeks when defrosting make sure full done and consume within 2days

i make yoghurt chutney and freeze some as i make lots at one time to save me time and it lasts for months i know its got chilli in and that will prolong the life but not by that much
