They ate alot of grains and fruit and when they discovered fire then they ate meat.
Knock on any door in Newcastle and you can see it first hand.
Fisrt they were Hunter Gatherers that hunted their meat and search for their not meat foods and then eventually somesticated plants and animals for food.
Prehistoric man prepared his dishes using the cusineart and many exotic now extinct dishes such as roast Dodo
he/she ate waht he/she coud find and didint cook
he was a hunter gatherer. I.E. he hunted animals and gathered berries/fruit.
He had fire - made it by rubbing wood or flint together. Or found it after there'd been a lightening strike.
If he had no fire he'd eat his meat raw.
most of the prehistoric man doest know yet how to cook, but for those who knew, they use fire.. they eat meats from animals that they catch. they eat it raw or roasted..
Depends where he lived as there wasn't a local Tesco. For instance in Scotland they would have lived off local fish and seafood from the sea or rivers. They would have grown oats (or used wild oats) and made bannocks. They would have eaten root vegetables and this made their teeth grind down to stumps (very attractive). They probably would have hunted deer, rabbits and wild boar (which were around then but sadly now extinct). Depends how early you are talking but they learned to salt food fairly early on to preserve it for the winter.
dickie- i just pissed myself at your answer, you genius!
i remember seeing on some cave walls once, you know, all the prehistoric paintings, well there was what looked like a vindaloo and garlic naan on the wall with a caveman tucking in. now if thats not conclusive proof i don't know what is.
