benihana
Yes.It's called tepanyaki style. The most famous chain I believe is Benihana.
Around here Hibachi does. Can become a 3-ring circus with tossing food into your mouths and such. Good for a group.

Delaware
You're thinking of Benihana's. It's called teppan-style cooking, and you usually share a table for 8, all facing onto the hot grill where the chef cooks and flips the food onto your plates.
It's great fun, especially for parties and groups.
Benihana's
Pixieladie is right about Japanese Village in Calgary, but there is also one in Victoria BC. It's so cool!
yes there is if you live in NJ then there is east tokyo. if u dont live there then look some up where you live
Try a 'Japanese Steakhouse' in your area often times they will cook the food right in front of you at your table. Its a fun experience and the chefs will perform tricks with the cooking tools and food while making your meal. They crack corny jokes and keep an overall positive mood going.
In Bethesda Md. there is one called Mongolian BBQ.
Sure thing, you need to look for a Teppanyaki Restaurant in your local area. Google will provide.
I don't know where you are at but on the west coast there is a chain called Benihanas where you sit at a table with other customers (together) and they cook your order right on the grill in the center of the table. They really put on a great performance.. all their chefs are trained to cook with a style their own it really is amazing!
yes, here in Delaware there is a place called Tokyo Steakhouse. They cook everything infront of you.. They also have alot to coose from. And they entertain you while sitting around getting to know everyone at your table.
Kyoto
Masato
You don't say where you are! There are a chain of Benihana restaurants in London.
benihana's
In Florida, there is a place called Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. They cook the food in front of you.
yes in japan, its on wongtong street. hehehehehehe
You are probably referring to: www.benihana.com

Look on their website to see if there is one near where you live.
Roko, Anyards Rd, Cobham, Surrey. UK
In Virginia, there is one named Shogun Japanese steakhouse & sushi buffet. The food is delicious and the cooks r great.
If you are in Dallas area, you can try "Tokyo One" on Beltline & Midway in Addison (next to Fogo de Chao & across street from Texas de Brazil). They have tons of sushis, sashimis, seafood, ribs, desserts & shabu shabu, as well as a live chef cooking your choice of meat & vegetables while you wait.
Benny Hanna or Ron of Japan.
Yes, they usually call them hibachi houses.
Yes there is. Actually, there are quite a few of those in London. Benihana, Matsuri, and Dehune are that type. They are not traditional Japanese but contemporary restaurants specialised in steaks, chickens and grilled fish (also called 'teppan yaki' restaurants, since they cook food on teppan-grill table in front of you), still they sell traditional dishes such as sushi, sashimi, and tempura. Worth trying, but expensive. If you can find a really traditional sushi restaurant, sometimes they can prepare your dish in front of you too.
