One of the grocery stores carrying Krispy Kreme nearly made me cry one time - I pulled a donut out of the "lemon filled" section and it was actually filled with whipped cream, and I didn't notice this until I'd already left the store and bitten into it. A brief moment of intense sadness ensued. =(

pretty much any flavor you want. if there is a certain flavor you want then ask your bakery if they can make it for you.
you can put virtually any sweet filling in the centre of a donut. Chocolate and peanut butter is very yummy!
Custard doughnuts are scrummy, as are raspberry jam (my preference!). The apple ones taste a bit weird, though.. (all available from your local Tesco's!)
