How is yeast made?

Answers:
I did a search on yeast, and came up with the following site.

I learned a lot. Hope it helps you, too.
It is made with a farious base like bread itself, it is mixed with a starter culture similar to making yougart, and can be sold in the cake form, or most commonly we see it in packages as dry active yeast, or quick rise, this is just a similar product to dry, only the amount of moisture and inoculation culture is alot stronger.

Cake yeast is the most reliable, as it is live, the dry stuff has a longer shelf life, and is unpredictable, after a few months it usually dead, so keep it cool, dry and no more than one month.
