How do i make my soup less peppery?

i added too much pepper in my spinach soup. does anyone know what i can do reduce its 'pepperiness'?

Answers:
Milk, cream, yoghurt are all good as has been suggested, and here's another: potato.

The quickest thing is if you have some instant mashed potato in the cupboard, make it up according to instructions, then add to the soup (or you'll get lumps)

If no instant mash, boil any spuds you have in the house, mash and add, you'll get a thicker soup, but should be nice.

If you have time, you could also try making a white sauce (roux) with flour and butter till it's thick, then gradually add the soup. But if you're in a hurry and have never done this before, maybe now is not the time to experiment. But if you have a packet of white sauce mix, or cheese sauce, they should mix in nicely and do the trick.

Finally, do you have some frozen or tinned spinach in the house ? If none of the above any good, you could add them. Good luck !
put a little more of the ingrediants into it without anymore pepper
Take it out again ...
add canned milk or cream to it, milk if it is all you have on hand, but if you do add milk, add a lot more than you think you should, and let it cook down.
DONT PUT SO MUCH IN THEN
Add more water to it?
Put two tablespoons of Vinegar and it will be less peppery
Live and learn, and make a new pot.
Yes. Simply refuse to eat it. You will then not be able to detect its pepperyness.
add more water to dilute the taste.
add more
soup or
water or
milk or
cream
plain yoghurt!! Will taste amazing too!!
Try adding just a very small amount of sugar. Taste it, and see if it is to your liking. (if it isn't, add a little at a time)
Add some sour cream or cream to each bowl as you serve it.
make two pots one with one with out if u still have problems see a doctor
little or no pepper
Nothing now! Remember what Emiril Lagassee always says, you can add more but you can't take it away! Always season slowly!
Add heavy cream or greek style (thick, beaten) yougurt or "quark." Serve with a side of plain white rice.
put more water
No, sorry.
Hmmmm.. lets see how bout u just not put so much pepper in or put a single habinero in and then u wont taste a thing.
(Warning dont feed to children if u chose the second option).
Add a potato or two,it will absorb the pepper and then toss the spuds.
Give it to a friend who likes peppery soup and start again to be sure pepper when on plate.
Spinach soup doesn't need pepper! My mum, Ms Olive Oyl, tells me that all you need, love, is spinach. Dad's happy with that: he is what he is. Put away the pepper pot, easy-peasy. Or rather easy-spinachy.
put less pepper in
