Do you ever pretend to be a
celibrity chef whilst preparing a
meal and give a running
commentary?

Even if you're alone.
If so, which one? I find Ramsey and Oliver are the best ones to do.

Answers:
With one friend - we do The Fat Ladies.
No No No.
No, I would feel just a little bit foolish, wouldn't you?
Er, no.
No but my man gets to pretend to be a fireman putting out the flames after i burn the dinner lol. I have to be the worlds worst cook xx
Can't say I have .. . . might give it a go though , sounds like fun!!
I did that when I was a kid making a peanut butter & jelly sandwich.I faked Julia Child.
no
It's gotta be jamie oliver or that annoying Lloyd Grossman voice.

C'mon! It's gotta be done.
I've never done it but now you've mentioned it i think i might give it a try ! I'm going to be Gordon Ramsey.. I love that guy..he cracks me up x
Sometimes I pretend I am on Blue Peter giving a cookery demonstration.
Have never done that. Am usually too harassed by kids and animals while in the kitchen.
uh, no, I don't.
ive often emulated Floyd whilst cooking but never intentionally immitated him.
No, but I often sing silly songs, much to the chagrin of my wife.
No.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
How funny is that i thought i was the only person who done that and i have been hiding it for years! I copy Jamie Oliver (pukka) and Ainsley Harriot (stretching my arms out while adding spices). Oh i am so relieved, that is a weight of my shoulders! But only when i am on my own, saying that my X did come in one day and catch me. She nearly pee'd herself laughing! haha
No, I don't. But that is a fabulous idea. I will try it tonight, probably much to the chagrin of my children.
I find my Julia Child imitation quite amusing.
Certainly not!! I hate cooking and I'm in and out of there as fast as possible. If I did though, it would probably be Oliver..I'm not sure I like Ramsey. He's a bully and there's no need for it.
Er.no - that's one thing I try to rule out of my life.
No I don't, but what a great idea I'll try it next time I cook.
No can't say I have!!
BAM
nigella, I pant a lot and caress the smooth smooth indentation of a well defined mixing bowl.
well, that's cos you're a guy. for me its nigella and tamasin day-lewis. i dont externally copy them when cooking (too busy doing the job) but do play an impersonation symphony in my own head. i may also have a (for others inexplicable) chuckle out loud but that's about it.

i leave the proper impersonations for when i'm entertaining as a way to show off about what ingredients and methods etc i've used. the celebrity chef mimicry is much more fun when you have an audience. but be warned it doesnt stop you from looking mental!
Oh yah..I do a good Julia Childs voice when I do too..or I "BAM" it like Emeril.=)
Yes i do and my children love it and they all join in and its fun for the kids.plus you are teaching them about hygiene.Gordon Ramsay and.Big Cook Little Cook
Yes i do, Gordon Ramsey and Rachel Ray but i kinda make fun of both of them when I do it. LOL
guilty as charged! lol
i do the ainsley harriot thing with the over expressive adding of the spices or the sauce (hold your other hand out and wiggle the hips a bit XD)
i also use a bit of jamie oliver lingo, but only when cooking. 'pukka' in particular is not a phrase which i would personally use in regular conversation!
