What is the vegetable in Coca Cola? It states on the can "carbonated soft drink with vegetable extracts"

On the ingredients list, there is only water, sugar, colourings, phosphoric acid and flavourings listed, so where's the vegetables?

Answers:
coca leaf and kola nut extract, lime extract, vanilla.. these can be yer veggies:).
i think might be phosphoric acid, but.

caramel colouring is made from sugar, and sugar comes from a plant..just a thought.
Coca leaves.there's always a clue in the name.
It USED to be COLA NITIDA (that's the Latin, anyway) but I'm sure it's been replaced now with a substitute
Until 1902, Coca cola did have the ingredient for cocaine, the coca leaf, which is why so many people liked it, but it was replaced with caffeine, which is probably just as addictive. I'm not sure if caffeine is classed as a vegetable extract though.
It may mean fats
I had a dodgy can the other day, it tasted of Carrots!! I think we've found our veg.
From www.pepsi.com:

Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO)
Brominated vegetable oil has been used by the soft drink industry since 1931. It is a widely used food additive that has been extensively tested and approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

Brominated vegetable oil is derived from soybean oil that has been modified in order to keep the flavoring oils well-blended.

It might be listed as "natural ingredients"
Onion skins , potato peelings , tomato pips ,etc ,etc,.
Conccotti cola is part eggplant, to quote the great Clifford Worley.
