Vegetarians won 'TEST THE NATION 2006' - what do you think?
Answers:
Remember its not a reflection on the diet, more a reflection on the fact that veggies tend to come from educated classes.
The veggie group was the only "life style choice" group - the rest were jobs or schools.
Sad fact is most people don't think at all ( about anything ). Whether you agree with veggies or not, being veggie proves that at least they think and there that gives them ahead start over the 80% of regular McDonald/KFC families.
The same arguement can be applied to any group who makes a lifestyle choice - you're naturally ahead of "most of the rest" because you're thinking about life.
I would also expect a group of "meat-eaters" to do well - I'm guessing such groups/societies exist who are particualrly intersting in eating certain types of meat ( The Steak Appreciation Society or something )
In not snobish, just fact I'm sorry.
really!!
thats great!!
TTN is a load of crap. I don't care who won it!
sounds pretty darn awesome. i'm gonna celebrate with a glass of soy milk.
load of rubbish! That test was easier than before. I managed 146 this year and in a previous year I was 112. I doubt I've got more intelligent!
Should have listen to my mother , she always said eating more vegs would make you more clever.
As you just get a cross section of people who are vegetarians, butchers etc it has no relevance to anything. My score was higher than the vegetarians and i am not a vegetarian.
Anyway Humans teeth are designed for an omnivorous diet.
It appears there where intellectual's on that panel.
and some contribution can be made to the non existant consumption of junk food or genetic modified foods.
wonderful, I don't like animal eaters.
Well, as a fellow non-meat-eater, this doesn't surprise me at all!
so what? 'test the nation' is only on to stop the BBC putting another repeat on!!
it must be all the healthy food that is making their brains work better!
they do have such tings as brain foods so maybe all the vegetables are working for them!!
maybe i should try!
I think their group was made up of a lot of "knit your own yoghurt, Guardian reading, Bright teacher/social worker types"
well you are what you eat - and obviously no red meat and lots of fruit and veggies so of course we are going to have more brain cells!
Cruelty with innocent creatures
TTN is so Fkin Cheesie
I think the Vegetarians done very well on Saturdays "Test the Nation 2006" in UK.
People are always saying Vegetarians are brainy.
I presume you are intimating that they won because they are vegetarians and suggesting that this is because you believe it to be a healthier lifestyle. If that is the case they should win again next year and the year after that and so on and so on. If they loose next year would that make you believe being a vegetarian was a less healthy lifestyle? And if not, why not?
so what if they won some crappy contest but just because they don't eat meat doesn't mean they are going to be smart those ppl where probably all really intelligent ppl any way regardless of what they eat and ppl still need to eat meat to maintain a healthy lifestyle
That won't put me off eating meat. I'm an omnivore and proud of it. (I have killed and eaten my food before btw). If I'm less intelligent than some vegans then that's fine. Ignorance is bliss.
Besides, if they win every year, then I'll see it as proof. Just one win is a stroke of luck.
Lucky old them ! - I mean, that was a test held under REALLY scientifically controlled conditions, wasn't it?
Oh no, I just remembered - it was an entertainment show, wasn't it, and the only REAL test that the vegetarians could have won would have been a farting competition.
I'm a butcher and I couldn't care in the least. I don't even know what ttn is, I guess we butchers have better things to do than sit in front of the idiot box all day, I know I do.
awesome!!
