Can I use caster sugar in flapjacks or do i have to use demerera sugar?

I want to make some flapjacks but i have run out of demerera/brown sugar- will it be ok if I just use caster sugar or granulated sugar?? answers will be much appreciated as I am hungry for flapjack!!

Answers:
Caster sugar might be a bit sweet for flapjacks. as it is a lot finer than demerera sugar, you may have to reduce the amount you use. I have never tried it, but i would have thought you would have to put less in though. If you use normal granulated sugar, i shouldn't think it would make much difference though!

good luck, and can i have a bite once you have baked them - i really want some flapjack now! yummy!
caster sugar is fine to substitute with
caster sugar is fine
you can use granulated sugar.
i
granulated desolves better.it is all in your own taste.
Yes, but they will taste a little blander than usual. Don't reduce the quantity for caster sugar: it is sweeter as granules because the smaller size lets them dissolve on your tongue more quickly, but once you have cooked it into something the effect is lost.
use oats, butter and sugar - granulated sugar should be fine
if you use Castor sugar you will end up with chewy oat toffee that's how mine turned out, so i think a trip to the shop for brown sugar is need to get yummy flapjacks ..
