My boss threw off my whole Thanksgiving Day menu when he gave me a 13-lb turkey yesterday! Couldn't believe it.
Potluck is tomorrow. Boss is buying Hooters wings. It's nice to work someplace that believes in giving back to the employees.
Should be compulsory for employers to "shout their staff for nosh". Us girlies went out to lunch on Friday and I am sure I remember one of the parnters saying we could "claim" for our tucker once a quarter, although that may have been when there was a snitch amongst us and they wanted us to play happy families, we just went on the "paid" lunch of course and played bitchy sisters instead!! LOL LOL xx

I've just spent a 10 days in Dubai in a 5* hotel, we flew business class and only spent half a day actually doing any work!
the only time the company i work for pays for lunch is at Christmas, they get our canteen to cook us Christmas dinner, its no treat honest
I would love it if it happened. My company rarely do acts of kindness like that for the staff.
Oh ya..I wish they would do it more often..but we take what we can get..usually they buy pizza..sometimes for special events we get catered BBQ..just awesome..

when i used to work at this supply company, sometimes a customer would buy us something. But usually the greedy tote-motor drivers would eat it all before the rest of us would get in there.
*my mom also works there, so she would tell me and thats how i would get something before it was gone*
Used to love it!! However, I now work for a company that only has 2 employees and the boss ALWAYS takes off each and every holiday!! Leaving me here alone - so the company buying 'anything' is a joke.
