I think you can actually get it through donations.
I also heard that a California based company is working on exactly that.
Because that would be just plain nasty.
Because breast milk is tailor made for YOUR baby only, and a good nurser won't let anyone else near their precious bitty. Plus it has a very short shelf life.

I think it's because it would be an easy way of getting any diseases ( in case the mother has some disease)

first I don't think you could ever buy it. and sec. why would you want to buy somones milk?
Maybe you can, but if you really can't, the reason is it is important to the baby who will be drinking it that it be fresh. So usually a baby who needs human milk whose mother cannot supply it is supplied by a lactating mother who agrees to collect some of her milk for the milk-needing baby, or who agrees to nurse the baby. This is arranged through personal contacts made by La Leche League members or doctors.
Now that's just nasty.

who said you can't! There are actually some agency which specialize in selling mother milk to those mothers who are unable to breast feed their babies. It is true the shelf life is not as long as the the regular milk, but that is because it is not homogenize milk.

you can, there are woman that buy it from nursing moms for thier baby because they cant produce enough of their own.

i believe you can buy it off a health company in Ireland I think. It has to be ordered specially and is delivered to your house. it only happens in special circumstances I think.
