Baked bean are not added to a traditional shepherds pie but if you like then then put them in.
wrong..yet strangely tasty. Go for it!
def inatley no
idont put them in the pie ,i mix them in when the pie is done its lovely ,and gose down well with the kids
Get em in there brilliant!
If you're a student, it's right.
No beans
WRONG!
what ever rocks your boat. iv tried it with beans and i quite like it.but traditionally it doesn't have it in.
On the side only. Never in the pie.
I won't put baked beans in a shepherds pie. I would
eat it seperately. Shepherds pie is more enjoyed
with a variety of vegetables.
you dont usually put them in but if you like blowing wing put 'em in
Absolutely NOT - they are disgusting!
I've seen it in recipes for children - as it's something they are familiar with. When I was a kid many aeons ago I liked a curried or chillied shepherds pie..variety is the spice of life. So go for it!
Go ahead, break the rule. Who says that recipes must be followed precisely?
I think it makes a nice alternative. I have heard of this type of recipe before. Its an excellent way of being efficient especially when you are on a low shopping budget.
Totally wrong.yuck..I love baked beans, but not in shepherds pie

The Shepherd's been! pie
Technically if it has baked beans in, it's not a shepherds pie! But if you enjoy it what does it matter.
I only learnt this quite recently, shepherd's pie is made with lamb, cottage pie is made with beef.
An alternative is Dragon pie - with all red/orange things in the bottom ;- red kidney beans, carrots, red peppers, tomatoes, chili, baked beans? etc.
Wrong! Put them in cottage pie (same thing made with beef) because beef and tomato go ok together. But baked beans and lamb is just wrong. Unless you're students, in which case its probably the main ingrediant after potato and cheese.
Definitely wrong!
Its totally right man!
Personally, I wouldn't put baked beans in a shepards pie, but it's all a matter of taste.if that is what you crave and desire go right ahead and prepare your shepards pie with the baked beans.
You just might start a trend! §@¿@§
that is just so wrong.
It's entirely up to you, my dad used to put black pudding in with the meat.
I agree with some above. Serve with the pie, but only on the side. Gives you the option to have some pie on it's own, beans on their own or both during eating. Variety is the spice of life remember!
Cooking is all about being creative - if you like them, throw them in!
Traditionally wrong, but I love em in Shepperd's pie, with some cheese too, nice and nutritious!
I grew up eating Shepherd's Pie and my mom always made it with hamburger, a can of corn, a can of creamed corn and then mashed potatoes over the top of that. This is still a big family favorite.
wrong but nice on the side
its actually really nice, I put baked beans in quite alot, dont worry what other people say, do it the way you like it
