if my food is out of date in the uk ,and i fly to the usa and its in date is it ok to eat it?
Answers:
I dont know..But your looking well sexy there santaxxx
lol, since when does anybody in england listen to use by dates? lol
brilliant question though
No, the date on the food was set for the uk not america
i wouldnt think that would work really
It should be ok to eat but if its something fresh (like milk or vegetables) it might not taste that good.
Not if the food was manufactured in the UK
Yes it will be fine, because the manufacturer would have built a "margin of safety" into the shelf life of the produce.
Send all your out of date food to Africa, apparently there starving (so we keep being reminded)
To some extent it depends what the food is and how well you have stored it; supermarkets tend to be very risk-averse in their labelling of 'sell-by' and 'eat-by' dates and I've cheerfully ignored the dates on things like jams, pickles, eggs, bread, cheese, etc., but would be much more risk-averse on fresh meats and fish (especially!). It's at your own risk, of course, but personally I've not been too bothered by a few days here or there .
