On the retro game 'Frogger' (neave.com) what does the frog do.?
When you get the frog to cross the road there is sometimes another frog on a log which changes the colour of the main frog but there is no change in score or extra lives or penalties so does anyone out there know what it does do?
Answers:
The frog on the log gave you an extra life in the original arcade and in many home computer ports. Obviously this has been lost somewhere in the re-coding of your version.
A lot of arcade and Atari games had bonuses and stuff that you could win when you played the original version, but they don't all transfer over. Maybe it used to get you an extra play or something?
I thought it would be just another frog trying to cross the road, or perhaps something they didn't quite bother to finish coding as some sort of bonus. As I recall, you got an extra life for making it across each time and that was about it (oh and a score too).
