Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?
Answers:
I know, I know!!!! It's got nothing to do with the air! Well, it has.. But not with the dryness of the air!! The glue reacts with the humidity in the air! REALLY!! If you left the bottle open, the glue which is in contact with air will "dry". Well, so actually glue doesn't dry! It gets just a bit wet and then sticks!!
Of course, all of us sometimes blow on the glue, when we want it to "dry", but it's not actually the wind as itself, but the moisture we breath on it that will "dry" it!
Takes air to activate the stickyness.
GOOD question!!
It will if left to dry.
it does!
That is a really good question! I'm going to keep checking here for the answer!
there isn't enough air in there to start the setting up process.
It does, it just doesn't dry out because there isn't any air circulation - if you've closed the bottle correctly!
it's in a sealed environment, no air can get in to start the adhesive process
If you leave the top off the glue and let it dry/cure, it'll stick to the inside of the bottle.
The chemicals in glue that make it stick has to react with air. So if you leave the lid open the glue will eventually harden in the bottle.
Because glue bottles have repellent personalities. No, seriously, obviously (take your pick, go with "seriously" or "obviously") the plastic bottles are treated with a special emollient which doesn't allow the glue to adhere to the inside. Plus the glue needs to dry to stick otherwise its just sticky as when its on the inside of the bottle.
because you need air thats why when u open a glue pot and u dont stick the lid back on properly then then the pot gets jamed.
Glue dries in the air, so being in the bottle there is no air in there, unless you leave the lid off!
The carrier in the glue has to evaporate before it sticks. Exposure to open air of course does this. Moving air will evaporate it faster than still air.
Hello there:
Glue doesn't stick to a bottle because it is not porous like other materials. Take a piece of paper for example. It may look flat and smooth, but it is made up up various other things which let the glue stick it to something else.
Glass is a solid matter with no layers or pores to let the glue seep in.
I hope this helps

after a long time it will but because theres a lot of it it takes years
it will do if not air tight!
that's a good question. I'll have the read the answers!
it needs water to activate it which it gets from the air
because you are using the wrong adhesive go to the d.i.y. shop and ask them which the best glue for you to use because you are definitely using the wrong one
It does if you let it dry out.
