Ps3 will win the next-gen console war, wont it?!!?

Difficult to say. I've had a ps2 since november 2002 and I've had many, many, MANY hours of enjoyment from it. I bought an xbox 360 recently because I couldnt wait for the ps3. All the games for the 360 have amazing graphics but no long term value to me. The war really begins when identical games are released for both platforms. Compare Resident Evil 5 on both next gen platforms and then the war begins in earnest. I've seen no actual game footage for the ps3 yet. Only pre rendered footage. The press that I've read state that the ps3 will be more powerful than the 360 but you can only decide yourself when you play both hands on.
I'm rooting for sony. I'm biased but this is a very reputable company with years of gaming experience.
If the Sony marketing machine have anything to do with it, yes.
It will be difficult for them to beat XBOX 360, especially with all the troubles Sony have been having what with re-designs, controllers etc.
At least you will be able to cook your dinner whilst your playing as the PS3 doubles up as a George Foreman Grill!
i dont think that ps3 will win because of its high price and it doesnt encludes rumble feature and it is redesigning its controller and a few little other problems and i think that also xbox will not win first place though it started in selling pretty early . i think that the wii will be in first place because its new controller and it oppening a new chapter of games and its new kind of playing games .etc.
i think that the three consoles will be like this:
first place:wii
second place:xbox
thirdplace:ps3
and you must know that i have chosen those three consoles in this order not because i like the wii more than any console or hate ps3 the most or like the xbox more than the ps3 . it is because i see every consoles chance to win the first place and i see the wii because like i said before.

Each system will have cool games. We can all look forward to fun stuff from each company.
However, I like what Nintendo has going for it this time around. Investing in controller tech instead of ridiculous computing power sets it apart from the other two companies and enables it to deliever new gaming experiences for a *far* cheaper price. In terms of sales, I wouldn't be surprised if they win this generation.
But gamers end up on top. This generation we get two very different approaches to gaming delievered exceptionally well, in addition to all the favorites from past generations (Wii Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade). If we want high-def, cinema quality games, we get them. If we want entirely new experiences brought by cutting edge motion-sensing controls, we get them.
Gamers win this generation.
The ps3 will not sell as much as wii because it is more expensive and about £50-60 a game, whereas the wii is about £30 a game and £130-150 for the system, so i think the wii will win with more support from third parties meaning more diffrent games for everone using the new controller.
thats how ps2 won with all the games it had and the wii will have loads of games and ps3 will not because it is expensive to devlop for.
