Playing guild wars and i can't get into joining up with others because of my poor typing/spelling skills..
by the time I’ve though of something to say, typed it and checked for spelling mistakes about 15mins have passed and the person who asked me if I wanted trade/join guild has disappeared, so my question is is there any software that enables you to speak your question into a microphone and types it for you and is compatible with guild wars
Answers:
there aren't many programs with that functionality - however, one of the best ways to speed up typing and communication in guild wars is to know three things:
1) Abbreviations - there are hundreds of these, as you will have seen - 'WTB', want to buy, 'LFG', looking for group, 'LFR', looking for runner, etc etc - these online-game specific abbreviations will speed up your typing no end - eg, instead of 'Looking to group with someone for [Quest Name]', just 'LFG [quest name]'
2) No one will care about the odd spelling error - and if you do spell something wrong, you can correct it in a convo by typing ' *[correct word]' - putting the star infront of it shows it's a correction.
3) Just learn to make everything as short as possible to make it quicker and easier to type.
Couple of examples which show you the kinda thing to do:
'Looking for a runner to Droknar's Forge, paying 2k, 1k here, 1k there'
Goes to
'LFR Drok's, 2k (half here/there)'
'Selling a Trollslaying Flatbow, 12-18 damage, requires 3 marksmanship, +20% damage against trolls'
goes to
'WTS Troll Flatbow, 12-18 dmg, req 3 marks, +20% trolls'
Hope that helps, and happy playing - it's a great game, so it'd be a shame if this put you off.
keep trying
There are some out there, but they usually aren't very good. Your best bet is to practice typing. Also, you probably don't need to say much other than 'sure', 'nah', etc. I have a pal who is also a poor typist, so he just doesn't say much.
In this situation I'd say you shd use txt spk to speed up the typing.

There is software to help your typing. The Mavis Beacon teaches Typing series have been excellent at teaching people on the computer how to type faster and more acurately.
Don't worry about spellchecking everything. In casual online gaming conversations most people don't both spelling alot of stuff right.
Get Mavis typing program to help you learn typing. Keep trying, your typing will get better. Don't worry about spell check, as long as your intent comes across, you'll be good.

I do not think there is any software that would help you with that. All of the existing ones are not worth it. I agree with some posts above: do not write much! WTS, LFG and other acronyms are fine as well as short answers like yep, sure, etc.
