Should i buy an xbox 360 or a ps3?

I think originally I would have said hold out for the PS3 but I am now leaning towards the Xbox 360. The main reasons are:
1. Price - The estimated retail price of the PS3 is a whopping £450. You can get an Xbox 360 with hard drive and game for about £220 now and that will probably drop when the PS3 is released. From What I have heard the games will also be slightly more expensive on the PS3 due to the new Blu-Ray disk system.
2. Online Gamine - The Xbox's Xbox live online gaming network was superb and from what I have heard the 360's is even better. The ps2's online gaming was pretty dire although it may pick up with the ps3 I reckon Microsoft have this one sewn up.
3. Games - It will be a good year before there enough games on either console although the 360 has a head start on this. Also, gone are the days when games such as GTA and Pro Evolution Soccer came out on the ps first then the Xbox six months later. In fact it looks like the Xbox 360 will have the more exclusive games including the mouth watering Halo 3.
4 More than a games machine - The Xbox 360 has a whole wealth of other features outside of just being a games console. Sony appear to making the ps3 much more narrow in this respect.
5. Controllers - I find the Xbox controller much easier to use than the ps one. Especially when it comes to FPS and driving games.
The big plus for the ps3 is that it looks like it will have a bit more grunt under the hood (although not as much a was originally thought). In saying that most games manufactures have said that it will make little difference and the games will look identical on both machines.

PS Just noticed that a lot of people are saying the PS3 has more games? Surely this is impossible as it hasn't actually been relesed yet? Maybe they are confusing it with the ps2??
neither just build a mean PC which you can keep upgrading
a ps3, much more choice of games .the x box tends to stick to the adult(male) market whereas sony have every genre of game you can imagine. i' m an rpg fiend so will always go for the ps3 because there are hardly any rpg's made for the x box
PS3. In my opnion, PS1 and PS2 were far better then any other consoles on the market at the same time, and I'm pretty sure this trend will continue.

It stores far more information than a conventional HD dvd and therefore the games will be longer and better prepared than those on the Xbox 360.
You can't really decide because they will both have games you like! It's whether you want a HDdvd player(xbox) or a blu ray(better of the two,ps3). Either way you willwin
ps3, the 360 was rushed to get it out early so they could make money on it, so it isnt as good as it could be, ps3 is looking to be the greatest console yet, plus there will be more great games on its release date, oh and its gonna be released for this christmas, not 2007
U like playing cool japanese games and games with good stories for all ages get a PS3. Xbox is mainly for older people and the games are usually PC type games anyway. But Microsoft is gonna integrate Xbox with its Microsoft Network. Just check out what type of games ur interested and what features u feel comfortable. It's a freaking console war out there!
I'd go with the 360. There are some technical reasons, all related to the gamble sony is taking with blu-ray and the unresolved lawsuits about that technology. Just the sheer and prohibitive cost of 600.00 is enough to sacrifice a few older ps2 and ps1 games to save almost 100.00.
The xbox live marketplace's ability to download games demos and trailers, and compete online is very very strong.
I owned a gamecube, and sold it to purchase a 360 - but was really wanting to get a ps3. The idea of going to blu-ray and the subsequent comments that the ps3 was going to be more of an "entertainment machine" than a game player seemed impratical. The system still faces some significant problems, and it's not unreasonable to suspect they will miss the november ship date. And,when you got right down to it the price became the reason I bailed on the idea.
Use your computer games are much better on pc I use to play consoles but I just think pc is so much better and more in depth.
I think PC so you can download an emulator like my little friend he recommended me to find PS2 emulator so I have a PS2 in my PC and I already have GameBoy Emulator you should try it. PC is very useful I have a game if you may like it but it will release on Sept. 18 2006 its called War-Front: Turning Point go to www.war-front.com

Niether get a Wii. But out of the 2 get the 360 because the PS3 will cost $600. And their games will range from $60 to $100. One more thing. Xbox has Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3.
