Is there anything interesting/exciting to do in Sheffield today?

I've lived in Sheffield all my life but my bf finishes work at one and has set me a challenge to find something to do in the afternoon in the surrounding area. I can't really think of anything that I haven't done before in Sheffield. Any ideas?

No nothing exiting happening today in Sheffield, just the same as it is everyday BORING.
Go to the Devonshire cat and drink lots of crazy beers from around the world. I love it there!
I got to the same point in Sheffield myself and left the city. Best thing I ever did never looked back.
Have you tried the Butterfly House at North Anston. Lots of butterflies, a crocodile, skunk etc. Makes a great afternoon out, and only 20m from Sheffield Centre, on the A57 to Worksop
