Why does it take so long for ps2 games to get from japan to the usa and then to the uk its really annoying?

Answers:
Europe is always lowest priorety on releas lists.
One of the biggest 'slow downs' for games is the translation. Japanese is a very tricky language to translate. A lot of time goes into this (if you buy some 'lower' qualety games you might have noticed the english in them was not good). Second thing is that we still work with zones. Games and DvD's are made so that you cant play them unless they have been published in your own zone (europe is its own zone).
Last of all, europe is commercialy not interesting. We have lots of different languages, which causes games to sell less if they are not translated. Also, all the different countries here have different rules about ratings (violence and such), import, copyright, and so on.
Since the UK is a part of europe, it has to suffer with the rest of us.
Well , I just download them from here instead of waiting for them to arrive
