What are the best Nintendo DS games and why?
Answers:
Brain Age is awesome, Meteos is a great puzzle-style game, Starfox Command is a cool arcade combat flyer, and WarioWare Touched is good if you're looking for something simple and addictive. There are a few others but this'll give you a good place to start. Good luck!!

Mario Kart because it's still around and addictive after all these years. Plus you don't need two cards to enjoy download mode.
Brain training, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs they're all good games.
yes to Brain Training , nintendogs, and animal crossing, the last two being particularly good at absorbing you in a virtual world.
Warioware: Touched is great for relaxing, and it's addictive to an extent i don't want to remember.
I haven't tried brain age or big brain academy, so i can't help you there.
For a turn-based Strategy, i'd have to recomend Advance Wars: Dual Strike. it's not easy, except the beginning few levels (maybe its 10.) and then, once you beat story mode once, another mode opens, hard-story mode, and i'm sure there's one more after it. There are many characters, each with their own abilities and advantages/disads.
I forget the name, but the remake of mario 64 isn't all that great. It's difficult to control the characters, and.well, the controls should be enough to veer most people away.
A friend lent me Meteos for a while.I haven't played it in AGES, but it was great! Addictive, and a great puzzle game. Try it out!
My little brother loved Spiderman, but i've heard in general it isn't great.
Those are most of the games i've played.
Hope it helps!

My five fave DS games:
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, where you get to investigate crimes, then question and cross examine witnesses on the stand. Objection!
Cooking Mama, a short, but great game where you chop, slice, fry, stir, boil and make great use of the touch screen to create lots of different meals.
Trauma Center: Under the Knife, where you get to cut open pixelated people and save their lives. But for some reason, you don't seem to earn any money, like a real surgeon.
Lost in Blue, washed up on a deserted island, you hunt for food and stay alive long enough to find a way to escape.
New Super Mario Bros, cause, well, I have a crush on Mario.
