How do manufacturers make bubble wrap?

how do they keep the air in?

Answers:
Run a sheet of plastic (polythene) over a grid of holes.
Heat up the sheet and suck air down into the holes, forming the bubbles.
Apply a second sheet of hot plastic to the top, welding it down
Now to do this as a continuous production process, the holes can be in rollers and the whole process done very fast.
aero told them.
Add some bubbles to a whole lot of wrap.
they fill the plastic up slightly with air, seal it then punch the template over it to distribute the air to create the bubble sacks.
(im just guessing, but im sure it must be something along those lines)
in stead of me typing it all in u can go to google.com and type how is bubble wrap made and there is a web site that will tell u and there is a site that u can pop bubbles virtually
they take plastic and close it at intravels. they get air in them by pressure and volume.
santa gives it to them for free
They have lots of little bubble blowers who stand by the side of double layers of plastic sheeting as it passes them. One bubble blower blows like crazy between the layers, while the other zings a circle in the plastic to form the bubbles. He does this with a bubble zinger and the really professional bubble zingers are able to zing over a million bubbles every minute. They are paid danger money because of course they work with heated equipment and there is an increased danger of injury.
The bubble blowers are recognisable by their hearty, rosy complexion and huge chests.
The bubble zingers are recognisable by the blue sticking plasters on the tips of their fingers where the zinger has touched and burned their skin.
Hope this helps.
Instead of just air, why not use helium, which would save on postage? :-)
