a very nice bicycle-and if its a girl lots of costume jewelry and little dress up clothes they love that and if its a boy a cool car or basketball but either way include the bicycle and teach them how to ride. great one on one time

Once for my niece I stuffed a Wal-Mart jewelry box full of costume jewelry I got at the Dollar store. the present cost about $18 total, but she still wears and plays with it all two years later. Not bad, considering most children get bored with their toys in a few WEEKS.

It depends what your relationship is. Why not ask the parents,my daughters write a letter to santa with a list of the things they want, I know its so hard to buy for little kids.

Ahhh, youth. Well, at six, she will pretty much love anything Barbie, Bratz or Elmo related.
I would give her a three part gift, which could ALL be purchased for $100 or less.
Part one: she needs a toy! Go to Toys-R-Us and ask any sales associate, and they will have aisles of toys for her!
Part two: she needs something educational. Buy her those leapfrog books or even a toy laptop (both at Toys-R-Us). She can have fun and learn at the same time.
Part three: she needs clothes. Old Navy has such cute girl clothes for reasonable prices. Buy something pink, or with pink in it (cute skirt set). Once again, ask a sales associate to assist you.
As for preparation, wrap each gift individually (to make it appear like a lot of gifts) with beautiful wrapping paper, and use lots of shiny ribbons and bows. You can get the paper at a local discount store.

I suggest to buy someone a gift, u have to look at she character. If she is more to sports, u can buy her some sport equipment. (e.g if she like roller blading u can buy a pair of roller blades) If she is more to girl stuff, u can buy her dresses, shoes, hair clips and dolls. If she is more to indoor games, u can buy her board games, like monopoly, twister, games that can have fun together as a family. Lastly, u can consider buying colourful story books for her to read.
A piece of advise, if u dunno what she wants, when buying the gift, try not to have the phrase " maybe she dun want it" in ur mind. Because give someone a gift is from the heart.
