It's the nanny state we live in,, proper fireworks are too dangerous for us mear peasants.

because too many companies are rushing to make them their forgetting that their suppose to be lights not smoke
I think the magic has gone. All you get now is people banging on about the noise, and how it scares their pets.
because you live in a crappy city, who won't pay for a good fireworks display?

AGREED! Last year, I couldn't be bothered to let them all off, they were so crap. Go to a decent display, instead.

I think its because at the moment you need a licence or something to get hold of the really powerful/complex ones. Besides the ones you get from supermarkets isn't a real idea of what is available, as they just go for what they can get cheapest.
beacause as u get older u tend to appreciate them less hence why they dont seem as good as they are
