I got an e-mail telling me I had won money from the UK Lottery & was wondering if this was a scam or real?

Did you buy a ticket from that website? If not - then it's a scam.
SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM.

Sheesh. AN EMAIL!. Do you have to ask?

Be wary, If you ever have questions on other stuff like this head over to www.snopes.com

it's a scam. i got the same e-mail!
If you have bought tickets for the UK Lottery over the internet, check your numbers - it may be true. If you haven't bought a ticket, well what do you think!
did you play the lottery? did you give the lottery commission your email address? after just a few brief moments of thinking about it what do you think?
odds on a scam, do not touch
NEVER TRUST THOSE THINGS THEY ARE ALL SCAMS AND (OR) WANTING YOU TO BUY SOMETHING TO GET WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. NOT WORTH IT BELEIVE ME!!
of course it is a scam - have you entered any lotteries with this company ? if the answer is no it is a scam as how can you win if you never entered in the first place. The other scam is having to send money to get your prize. why do you have to pay to get your winnings ??
You will know if you win the Lottory,,,,because you play RIGHT
Dont be silly
yeh,, its a boiled ham,,, a babies pram,, a blackpool tram,, a Steve Cram,, youve got it,,, its a SCAM..beware..
Yes, it's scam! :)
I got many similar e-mails every week.
Depends if you signed up for emails with the lottery and if you play online. because if you did and do, they will email to tell you, you have won!

But they don't say that in the heading. it's usually good news from the lottery advising you to log to your account. NOT through an email, but through your usual route and browser connection to their site.
scam. definately. don't even bother thinking about it.
Total scam, I got the same email. I went onto fraudwatchers.com just to check to see if it had been around for awhile. They led me to a link on the Metropolitan Police website for fraud prevention.
scam, for sure
This is a major scam. First of all if you won from a lottery, you would be contacted via registered mail or telephone only. NEVER via an email. Secondly, if you visit the Consumer Alerts website they have listed all the current and previous internet scams. You should check it out.
its unreal be careful when you get email and you dont know who it is from dont answer it because it has virisus in it and will effect your computor
HEY I GOT THAT TOO, WHEN I SAW THEY ASKED FOR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER I FIGURED IT WAS A SCAM. WAS IT FROM SOME GUY NAMED FRANK

OK did you buy a ticket and would it have you contact details on it?
NO then it's a scam
Are they asking for money to release funds, process payment or your bank details
YES then it's a scam
Scam nothing for free in this world.
If you contacted them they would request money from you to claim your prize.
Ok i have a simple answer for this question. did you ever enter the uk lottery? if you did i reckon, chances are you would have the ticket and would be able to check yourself, otherwise if you havent entered then you know damn well you havent won
