What is the xbox 360 really like,graphics etc?

In my opinion, the 360 graphics shines when played on a HDTV. Depending on the game of course, the graphics are impressive. Apart from the graphics it is also the best for online play in my opinion.. even the PS3 when it comes out.
Sony:
The PS3 on the other hand is more powerful compared to the 360 but I dont think you will get anything more on graphics. There will be areas in games which shows the PS3 graphics abilities, but overall it wont really differ. The PS3 uses 'Blu-Ray' technology but it will mainly be used for films or video sequences in games (as they will be viewed in crisp - HD).
I must point out though that the 360 is either planning or realeasing HD-DVD drives. Very similar, if not better than the Blu Ray technology.
Nintendo:
The Wii definitely comes 3rd in the powerhouse department. However, it is still a powerhouse system and certainly makes up for it in the gameplay department. The Wii is definitely the first system to try and break away from the typical controller style.
(do you honestly think we will always use normal controllers?)
I know I have broke away from the 360 here, but to understand what its like and all, it needs to be compared to other systems. Overall, it is a powerhouse system and is cheaper compard to the PS3 (when it comes out), but the Wii has the gameplay.

I have only played it at a friends house and its good. I dont know what else to say? look at a games website like www.ign.com and check out screen shots and videos.
It has wireless controllers which is cool, X- box live (the online service) seems simple and easy to use & the free mini games they have on there are a laugh.
I dont have one but the games are starting to look v.teresting. Considering the cost of the PS3 (around £400) I think I will be buying a Wii (nintendo) and an X-box 360 (Microsoft) when I have the money!

not that i know an awful lot on this but my partner just got one and it does look amazing but we have got it on a hd tv the sound and graphics are brilliant! x
To be honest I will rather go for the PS3, XBox 360 runs on the HD (High Definition) system, instead the PS3 runs in the BR (BluRay) which is a better system and has more capabilities, lets put it like this HD has a maximum storage of 30 GB, while the BlueRay has a maxium of 50 GB, 20 more that can add better graphics and details to games. in other words XBox 360 graphics can be good, but the BluRay Ps3 is better.
it amazin graphics anyway but if u have a HD TV then they get even better
i have seen Oblivion on 360 & p.c. and there is no difference therefore i would say the 360 is very good graphically.As others have said the ps3 should be a more powerful system all round so if u cant afford both i would wait for the ps3.
the graphics is awesome. i have the games call of duty and call of duty 3 is so real. its like ur in the military yourself. the 360 is an awesome invention. u meet a lot of interesting ppl and its like a whole new different world!
