Can roller blinds be washed?
Answers:
Some roller blinds are stuck onto the tube at the top with double sided tape. It is possible to peel blinds off and soak them in the bath. If they have braid on the bottom this will come off but is easily re-fixed with Bostik All Purpose glue. You may need to buy a roll of double sided tape to put over the old tape so you can re-fix blinds when dry. If blinds are on metal tubes you will have to hang them complete on the washing line and sponge them. Blinds will go limp when wet but will regain stiffness when dry. If creased, iron blinds with cloth between so iron doesn't stick to finish on blinds.
I'd think not
you can if you use a mouse cleaner and a damp cloth
Good question, one I'd been thinking about myself. Thinking about I would take it down and immerse it in the bath with a gentle detergent and lightly rub, rinse then empty the bath and upend it to dry then put it up again.
Steam cleaner!
If you havn't got a steam cleaner it may be worth purchasing one. You can use them on all sorts of things around the house. Not only can you clean your roller blinds but items of clothing that require dry cleaning can be cleaned in this way saving you money.
I wouldn't try it as they are stiffened to hold their shape. I think you can buy a product to wipe them, but if you wet them they may be ruined. Try on an unseen part of the blind before doing the whole thing.
