HELP-Light blue shirt, tomato sauce how to get rid?
Any good tips on how to get a tomato based sauce out of a light blue shirt, 100% cooton?
I've washed it 3 times using vanish spray it's faded but it's still there.

*Tomato Based Stains From Clothes
Tools & Chemicals:
Laundry pre-treat, all fabric bleach, bleach, dry cleaning fluid.
1. Soak the stain with laundry pre-treat. Let sit for several minutes. For stubborn stains, rub with heavy-duty liquid detergent. Launder immediately.
2. If stain remains, soak the clothes in a solution of all-fabric powered bleach. Be aware that all the colors may lighten.
3. If the stain remains, and the clothes is white or colorfast, soak in a solution of liquid chlorine bleach and water. Read the label regarding the use of bleach. Bleach can damage some dyes and prints, and bleaching damage is irreversible. If the stain is not removed in 15 minutes, it cannot be removed by bleaching and further bleaching will only weaken the fabric.
4. If the stain remains, apply dry-cleaning fluid to back of stain over absorbent white paper towels. (Check product label for instructions and follow carefully.) Let dry; rinse. Launder as usual.
5. If all else fails soak your clothes in a vat of tomato sauce and at least you will have a consistent color.
Tip #5 is a joke of course:) *
Ace bleach - it bubbles up on the stain and vanishes before your eyes. Very satifsying to watch! Oh and it doesn't affect the colour either.
Seriously - try some oxi-action by vanish. Soak your shirt in the solution then wash as usual.
use vinegar.!
1. Spray the stain with detergent solution, then blot with a dry white cloth.
2. Spray the stain with vinegar solution, then blot with a dry white cloth.
3. Spray the stain with detergent solution, then blot with a dry white cloth.
4. Spray the stain with lukewarm water, then blot with a dry white cloth.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until the stain is removed.
wt the stain and rub yellow kitchen soap over it. yellow kitchen soap can be found inthe detergents isle at the super market. i have also found that sometimes liquid dish detergent will help if the stain is fresh.
Don't use bleach on it because you will end up with a white mark and that's not good.
Try soaking it in baking soda. That sometimes work. If it doesn't it won't do any harm either. If that doesn't do it take it to a dry cleaner.
White vinegar should do the trick
buy some spray and wash, put it on shirt, let it set for 30 min, then put it in the washer and set washer on cold water and wash it.it will work.
try the vanish liquid. I find it much better than the spray. I always get perfect results!

Try shout or Era. If shout doesn't work for me the first time, then I put some Era laundry detergent on it and rub it in. Let it sit for a few minutes before washing.
Use shout or spray n wash for grease on it. Then, using an eyedropper, flush with white vinegar on the stain to remove the tomatoey color.
put a dab of bleach, then put in the washing machine again.
Try rubbing biological soap powder into the stain with a toothbrush and some hot water, make it a thick paste and then put some vanish liquid onto the powder. Turn the shirt so that the stain, powder and liquid are trapped into the shirt like a loose ball and rewash, that usually works for me. The problem now is that you have already washed the shirt so it may not work, but its got to be worth a try.
