Can anyone recommend a good pH meter to test my wormery compost?
The kit says I should test the pH of my worm composter every so often to make sure its OK, but I don't know which meter to buy.
Answers:
go to a swimming pool supply store. They have all types of ph meters
There are several listed at www.cpc.co.uk
Search for "ph meter"
Its a good company, but might not be quite what you are looking for.
call "dove" thay always have plenty spare PH testing devices left over from the out-takes sections of the adverts.
No.

Maplins are quite likely to be cheapest,a garden centre will probably be dearest
don't go to a pool supply they only test water . go to harborfreight.com , they have soil pH testers cheap about 2 or 3 dollars . they will ship it to any where in the USA .
Here you go. PH is a factor with worms. if you avoid things that are acidic you should be okay. I have been a worm farmer for 10 years and have never had a problem with PH. I watch my food source very carefully.
Having played with lots of different brands, the only manufacturer worth considering is Hanna meters. They are simple, easy to use, very reliable and robust.
