Planing my new bathroom, whats better normal mirrors or mirrored cabinets?

cabinets only if you need the extra storage space, otherwise, one big mirror with a beautiful frame.

Mirrored cabinets, they will give you more storage for small items, bandaids, shaving cream, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.

Well I have both in mine and I feel that mirrored cabinets make the cabinets look really prominent and in some ways an eyesore. Much better therefore to have cabinets with matching colour finishes, set off by large normal mirrors, perhaps with a inlaid decoration. Such mirrors can be absolutely beautiful and a wonderful feature just by themselves. I have one such mirror in my bathroom with a kingfisher bird and pampas grass ... stunning!
If I had to gut and rebuild my bathroom -- I'd have a couple of antique framed mirrors. Style and charm without being married to them by having them fixed to the wall.
Mirrored cabinets are kind of outdated. handy but not attractive. Maybe a small one on the sidewall of the vanity.
They are both good. It is a matter of preference or use. If you shave or put make-up on at this mirror then you may want to get a medicine cabinet with three mirrors and light. You can open the mirrors so that you can see your face really well especially with lights on, otherwise there will be shadows with a flat mirror.

If you got enough wall space, I'd go for both. If not, go for mirrored cabinets, storage and beauty all in one !
if your tiling the walls why dont you get some mirrored tiles and make up a mirror this way

it would really depend on how bit the bathroom is going to be . if it's big just mirrors are fine but if it's small you made need mirrored cabintes for storage.
matter of choice i prefer mirrors you can move them around
