Can I paint International Blackboard Paint direct on to a bedroom wall?
I want to get this for my son but it appears that you can only paint metal or wood. Is this the case or can I use it on concrete walls.

My daughter just did this right on a drywall surface. No problem.her kids are chalking and crayoning away. I am not certain about concrete but you could always put 1/4 drywall over the concrete first.
I'm pretty sure you can use it on anything. =)
as far as I'm aware you can paint it on a wall not wood chip though
I would suggest that you paint the walls with black emulsion, its water based and the rollers are easy to clean. Blackboard paint is about 20 times more expensive.

I know in the past that there was a paint that was used to resurfaced an old blackboard in schools.. It worked great.. Make sure the surface is clean and smooth.. If you know of a retired school janitor or teacher.. Give them a call and ask
If you line the walls with lining paper grade 1000 then when dry apply the blackboard paint to the lining paper.

Concrete walls (in my imagination right now) seem a bit porous. I keep seeing your son using and erasing, and the chalk filling and staying in those little holes (maybe I'm thinking of a concrete block wall. I dunno)
I would think that a 1/4 inch of drywall would also be good, easily removed when the blackboard is no longer the desired effect.
