How do I legally get rid of a freezer in the U.K?
Answers:
Take off the seal, put it outside and phone the Council so they'll come and collect it. You remove the seal so small chilren can't climb in there and get taken away with the rubbish, I'm told.
Ring your local council, they will take it away they may charge or will advise you what to do.
Take it to your local council rubbish dump they will have a special section for fridges/freezers.
Contact your local council, they will uplift white goods for a small fee.

Telephone your local council. They have a service to pick up electrical equipment, 'fridges and freezers, old settees, etc. Where I live you get one free pick up a year, after that you have to pay a small fee.

Take it to your local amenity site, or most go to the trouble of getting out of bed at 2.00am in the morning and finding a hedge near my house. Failing this ring your council and they will collect it saving you a nights sleep and fuel.
