How much it cost to lay wooden floors in London?

trying to find the right contractor to lay wooden floors in my new flat and possibly for painting as well. Need to understand the costs of such works to be able to judge the quotes i am given

if you try and do it your self.it will not cost you nothing.but if you get some one in,it will cost you about 250.00,i had it done my self in my front room
Fitting wooden floors depends on the flooring material, if it's laminate then about £20.00 m2, so a room 10ft x 10ft would cost about £180.00. If it's real wood flooring then about £30.00 per m2. Painting obviuosly depends on how much work is involved, but expect to pay around £100.00 per day per painter. Hope this helps.
