Is there a special paint I can use to cover very dark painted internal walls please?

Answers:
I recently used an excellent paint product for the same purpose called 'Polycell Basecoat'. It is especially designed to cover strong colours, but also covers hairline cracks, any filled areas and basically any imperfections. It's designed to prevent any problems reoccurring and gives a smooth, even and long lasting finish ready for painting. You can buy it in most DIY stores, like B&Q, Focus and Homebase. I finished off by using a new product called 'Dulux Trade Diamond Matt' Its 10 x tougher most emulsions and you can easily wash off all the kids fingermarks. It comes in a great range of colours and you can buy it in places like Travis Perkins, C Brewer and Sons or ICI Dulux Decorator Centres. Hope that helps!
For the best results you will need to use a primer before actual painting begins.
Get a flat white primer - nothing is going to cover very nicely without it.
I do not know of any, perhaps you could try using a primer first then put the color you want over top of that. It has worked for me. Good Luck
there is a special primer called "Kilz", you can find at Wal-mart that is very good for covering up dark colors..depends on how dark, two applications might be required...Hope this helps...good luck.
I take it you want to lighten them. I would clean them well and buy a good white primer, you may have to use two coats of this. Then you can paint any color and you should be fine.
go to a proper decorating shop and get TRADE white emulsion by crown.a good coat of that will cover any dark colour.always whiten walls before applying a coloured emulsion to them because white is the best neutral base colour you can use.
KILZ but open all ya windows its hard on the smeller
